Student Accessibility Services

Wisconsin Lutheran College recognizes that each student has been blessed with individual gifts and unique talents.

We seek to serve each student by supporting their unique needs and challenges while empowering them to reach their educational goals and develop the independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth needed to thrive in college and beyond. Students with disabilities and special needs are encouraged to contact the Office of Accessibility Services.

Eligibility

To qualify for accommodations through WLC’s Accessibility Services, students must have a documented disability(ies) that substantially limits a major life function that can be mitigated by the use of an accommodation. Qualifying conditions can include but are not limited to, learning disabilities, neurological conditions, autism, visual or hearing impairments, physical disabilities, auto-immune conditions, traumatic brain injuries, psychiatric conditions, chronic health conditions. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis evaluating the student’s documentation, impact of disability(ies) and how accommodations might mitigate those impacts.

How to Obtain Services

  • Fill out our Student Intake Form.
  • Have your provider fill out the Provider Form, or compile most recent documentation of disability, current individual education plan, or provider statement of recommended accommodations.
  • Submit all documentation and information of your disability to accessibilityservices@wlc.edu.
  • Meet with the Office of Accessibility Services to assess needs and discuss potential accommodations.

Temporary Accommodations

WLC can provide short-term accommodations to students who may have temporary needs due to an injury, concussion, or surgery. Students who may need temporary assistance should reach out to Accessibility Services via email at accessibilityservices@wlc.edu and provide us with information regarding the nature of your request.
