Wisconsin Lutheran College recognizes the accomplishments of its graduates with commencement ceremonies in May and December. The events, which require free tickets for admission, take place on campus in the Recreation Complex - Time of Grace Center.
Commencement
The cap and gown costs are covered by the graduation fee. The information WLC needs to order caps and gowns is collected in the student's graduation application.
Students will be notified via email when caps and gowns are available to be picked up.
Cords for military service will be distributed to those who have notified the Registrar's Office of their service. Cords for Latin academic honors will be given to eligible graduates at commencement.
Tassel colors reflect the degree the student is receiving:
- Master of Arts: black tassel
- Master of Science: drab tassel
- Bachelor of Arts: white tassel
- Bachelor of Science: gold tassel
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing: apricot tassel
Professional photos are taken by Jeffrey Wilson. Commencement photos are posted in galleries covering the processional, recessional, diploma presentation, and general ceremony. You may order graduation announcements, a diploma frame, and other products directly from Jostens.
The Graduation Application, which is available from the Office of the Registrar, is to be completed one semester prior to the expected date of graduation. If any changes occur, or if you fail to graduate at the applied time, a new form must be filed. After the application is filed, a degree verification will be sent before the start of the student's final semester, indicating remaining requirements to be completed.
