Our 2023-2024 Merit Awards for qualifying first-time, full-time freshmen range from $10,000 to $18,000 per year, for a lifetime value of $40,000 to $72,000. Consideration for these awards is automatic, and no additional scholarship application is required.
Merit-based scholarships are based on your highest ACT/SAT score(s) and cumulative high school GPA. Scholarships for test-optional admissions will be assigned based on your cumulative GPA. Cumulative GPA is based on an unweighted 4.0 scale. SAT score is comprised of critical reading and math scores.

Wisconsin Lutheran College awards a one-time $500 Visit Scholarship to first-year students who attend a qualifying WLC visit opportunity during their junior or senior year of high school.

Our Partners in Christian Education Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen who graduate from a Christian high school and continue their education at WLC. The $2,000 Partners in Christian Education Scholarship is renewable each year, for a lifetime value of $8,000.

First-time, full-time freshmen who were homeschooled for high school receive a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is renewable annually for a maximum of four years.
As a transfer student, you can take advantage of an affordable tuition and our transfer scholarships. Many of our scholarship awards are renewable annually, up to four years, if a student remains in good standing.

- $16,000 Transfer Scholarship - College GPA of 3.25 to qualify; renewable each year with 2.75 cumulative WLC GPA
- $14,000 Transfer Scholarship - College GPA of 2.75 to qualify; renewable each year with 2.25 cumulative WLC GPA
- $12,000 Transfer Scholarship - College GPA of 2.5 to qualify; renewable each year with 2.00 cumulative WLC GPA
- $8,000 Transfer Scholarship - College GPA of 2.25 to qualify; renewable each year with 2.00 cumulative WLC GPA
EXPLORE ADDITIONAL TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
A $2,250 scholarship is available for Wisconsin high school seniors who have the highest GPA in their school, as designated by their high school.
One-half of the scholarship is funded by the State of Wisconsin and the other half by Wisconsin Lutheran College.
This one-time $2,500 endowed scholarship is available to incoming freshmen who qualify for the Christian Leadership Certificate Program and demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Scholarships are limited to a select number of students each year, with recipients meeting the criteria of Christian servant leadership as determined by the Executive Director of the Center for Christian Leadership.

Donors and foundations provide annual funds for special scholarships for upperclassmen. Recipients are recommended by the academic department and approved by the financial aid committee.
