    Located 90 minutes north of Chicago, WLC's campus is located in a safe, suburban setting in Milwaukee. Known for its old-world charm, the city is located on the beautiful lakefront of Lake Michigan and is the artistic, cultural, economic, and recreation center of Wisconsin.

  • APPLYING FOR ADMISSION

    International applications are reviewed on a rolling admission basis. Students must submit all required information to WLC by June 1 for August enrollment and November 1 for January enrollment. It is to the candidate's advantage to apply early.

    Steps to Apply:

    1. Complete the online International Student Application

    2. Submit secondary school(s) academic records (must be in English or with an official English translation from the school included)

    3. Provide a letter of recommendation from a school counselor or teacher

    4. Submit Standardized Test Scores:
      - SAT: minimum composite score of 1000 (Math & Critical Reading) OR
      - ACT: minimum composite score of 21

      Send appropriate official score reports to WLC using the following school codes:
      - SAT: 1513
      - ACT: 4699

    5. For non-native English speakers - provide proof of English proficiency with official test scores:
      TOEFL: minimum score of 79 OR
      IELTS: minimum score of 6.5

      Send appropriate official score reports to WLC using the following school codes:
      - TOEFL: 1513
      - IELTS: No code required; request that scores be sent to:

    6. Financial Responsibility Statement: Complete and submit the Certificate of Financial Responsibility that shows the student's ability to meet the educational and living expenses while a student at WLC.

    7. Application Fee of $35 (payable to Wisconsin Lutheran College)
      * The $35 application fee may be paid by international money order, cashier's check or through a wire transfer. All forms must be denominated in U.S. dollars.

    TUITION, FEES, AND FINANCIAL AID

    2015-2016 International Student Fees

    • Tuition: $27,040
    • Housing/Meals (average): $9,250
    • International Health Insurance: $1,401.60
    • Housing Damage Deposit: $150
    • Total Estimated Tuition and Fees: $37,841.60

    *Health insurance is required for all international students and is provided through the Health Services Office. U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents may choose to enroll in WLC's insurance program.

    * Students should budget approximately $1,500-$3,000 per year for personal expenses. It is recommended that this amount is included when certifying the total amount of funding available to you.

    * Students who have financial hardship may want to seek sponsorship through churches, organizations, etc. This will be the student's responsibility. Wisconsin Lutheran College does not provide sponsors for students.

    Scholarships

    International Student Scholarship
    Maximum of $6,000 USD per academic year

    • Eligibility is based on academic records, test scores, and financial need. International students who complete their application to WLC are automatically considered for an international student scholarship.

    International Christian Scholar Grant
    Maximum of $15,000 USD per academic year

    • Eligibility is based on academic records, test scores, and financial need. Enrollment in a Christian secondary school is required. International students who complete their application to WLC automatically are considered.

    Fine Art Scholarships

    • Art Scholarship: $1,000 USD Incoming freshman and transfer students with exceptional artistic ability
    • Music Scholarship: Up to $3,360 USD Incoming freshman and transfer students with exceptional musical ability
    • Theatre Scholarship: $1,000 USD Incoming freshman and transfer students with exceptional dramatic ability

    Scholarships for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents

    • U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents can find all information relevant to their financial aid process on the Financial Aid page. These students should plan to submit the FAFSA application.

    Enrollment Deposit

    A $300 US enrollment deposit is required once admitted to WLC to secure a place in our on campus housing and access to early pre-registration for classes. Payment can be made by a paper check from an American bank made out to "Wisconsin Lutheran College."

    Paying School Fees

    Bills are sent prior to each semester in mid-July for the fall semester and mid-December for the spring semester.  The full amount of your fall semester fees is due on August 1. The spring semester fees are due on January 10. Payment plans are available upon request.

    Enrollment Deposit

    Once admission to WLC is granted through an official acceptance letter, students should submit a Housing Form along with a $300 USD deposit. Doing so will secure an individual place in our on campus housing & permission to pre-register for classes.

    Coach USA Bus Stop - 4th Street (Amtrak Station) Stop
    Students arriving at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport can access this bus directly outside the terminal for easy transportation to Milwaukee. Tickets can be purchased online
