Why did you choose WLC?

I chose Wisconsin Lutheran College because I wanted a smaller college with a Christian education. I was also excited to be able to play basketball and softball in college.

Joy with friendsTell us about your favorite WLC experience.

There are so many - it’s hard to choose! I think beating Concordia in basketball, and also getting lost in downtown Chicago in a snowstorm after winning a basketball game down there. I have so many lifelong friendships from my time at WLC.

Who is your favorite WLC professor or staff member?

Professor Deb Uecker. I had a lot of classes with her, as I was a communication major. She was always very supportive of all her students and really took the time to listen to us.

What have you accomplished on your bucket list since graduation?

My family is truly a blessing, and being able to watch my children grow up with a Christian education has been wonderful. We also were able to go to Canada this past summer to watch my daughter march in the Calgary Stampede Parade with the Lakeside Lutheran High School marching band. We were able to see Calgary, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and the Columbia Ice Fields.

What is next on your bucket list to complete?

I would like to go to the Rose Bowl when Michigan is playing, and also go to The Masters golf tournament.

"I truly enjoyed my four years at WLC and want to see other young adults have the same college experience I did, including my daughter, who plans to attend WLC in the fall. I loved the Christian atmosphere and the excellent education I received. I learned so many valuable lessons that I was able to take with me into the working world."
