About Me / Background
I serve as Director of Marketing and Strategy at Wisconsin Lutheran College, where my work includes institutional and enrollment marketing, market research, analytics, brand and digital strategy, and broader strategic initiatives.
I began my professional career at WLC after graduating from the college and have held progressively responsible roles across marketing. My work and academic interests increasingly center on the intersection of marketing, strategy, analytics, consumer behavior, and emerging technology, particularly within higher education.
My undergrad background in psychology continues to shape how I think about marketing and decision-making, while my graduate and doctoral work has expanded my focus on organizational strategy, data-informed decision-making, and the role of market intelligence in institutional planning.
Teaching / Instruction
I have served as an adjunct instructor at WLC since 2012. My teaching experience includes Strategic Marketing and Social Media and Online Marketing in WLC’s former adult degree completion program, as well as AI Fundamentals for Business for undergraduate students in the School of Business. I have also developed curriculum in digital marketing and artificial intelligence for business.
My teaching emphasizes practical application, critical thinking, and the ability to evaluate emerging tools and strategies in a rapidly changing business environment. In AI Fundamentals for Business, students explore generative and agentic AI, prompting, data literacy, responsible AI use, and applications of artificial intelligence across business functions.
Research Interests
My research interests include higher education marketing and strategy, academic program development, market intelligence and evidence-based decision-making, artificial intelligence in marketing and business, marketing analytics, and organizational decision-making.
My doctoral research examines how senior marketing leaders at small- to medium-sized private nonprofit colleges and universities contribute market insight to academic program decision-making. More broadly, I am interested in how colleges and universities can better integrate institutional mission, market analysis, and organizational expertise when making consequential strategic decisions.
