background
Before serving in higher education, I built a career at the intersection of product management, strategy, leadership, and entrepreneurship across some of Wisconsin's most demanding organizational environments—including a multinational Fortune 100 company, the state's largest healthcare system, a technology firm, and multiple manufacturing organizations. In those roles, I led product and brand development, market expansion, and customer engagement initiatives, gaining deep exposure to complex organizational systems, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional leadership.
That foundation led me into business ownership, where I have since led and scaled multi-location ventures requiring integrated oversight of product and brand management, finance, franchise development, technology, legal, and long-term strategic planning. My work has spanned marketing research, consumer analytics, financial modeling, cash flow management, and leadership development—always with an eye toward building organizations that are not only high-performing but values-driven, sustainable, and reflective of servant leadership principles.
Over time, my professional focus expanded into counseling, conflict management, and organizational development. I have designed and taught undergraduate coursework in management, marketing, marketing research, leadership, and critical thinking systems. My academic and clinical training draws on evidence-based frameworks—including cognitive behavioral approaches, group dynamics theory, trauma-informed care, decision-making, and forgiveness research—and applies them directly to the realities of business and leadership.
At the core of my teaching and mentorship is a conviction that the marketplace is a mission field. I believe the next generation of business leaders is being called not merely to professional success, but to faithful, purposeful influence in their organizations and communities. Drawing on Christian principles of servant leadership, stewardship, integrity, and care for people, I aim to equip students to lead in a way that reflects both excellence and character—understanding that how we lead matters as much as what we achieve.
This convergence of corporate experience, entrepreneurship, counseling theory, and faith-integrated instruction shapes everything about how I approach the classroom. My goal is not simply to develop technically competent professionals, but to form leaders who think clearly, decide ethically, and serve others with humility and genuine care—ready to make a lasting impact wherever God places them.
