The Battle of Little Bighorn: a lecture by Dr. Paul Beck

Thursday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m.

To celebrate Dr. Paul Beck's long and faithful service to Wisconsin Lutheran College, the Department of History invites you to a free public lecture by Dr. Beck, Professor of History, on the Battle of the Little Bighorn. His talk will be followed by a Q&A session and light refreshments.

Dr. Beck came to WLC in 1987 and has taught history to three generations. Students long remember his vivid and powerful lectures, even years after graduating. After nearly 40 years of teaching, he is retiring at the end of the Fall 2025 semester.

In addition to having taught more than 300 classes, Dr. Beck is a leading scholar in nineteenth-century American military history and the author of four books, most recently Columns of Vengeance: Soldiers, Sioux, and the Punitive Expeditions, 1863-1864.
