Wisconsin Lutheran College will present the Divine Servant Award to Steven Curtis Chapman during a celebration event on Friday, May 31, 2024. The 2024 Divine Servant Award Celebration will take place at Discovery World in downtown Milwaukee.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us for a delightful evening of networking and mingling with fellow leaders while supporting scholarships for Wisconsin Lutheran College students who will make an impact on our community. The celebration will take place at Discovery World, a spectacular location on Lake Michigan overlooking downtown Milwaukee. Savor tantalizing hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and cocktails while learning about Steven Curtis Chapman. Feast on a three-course gourmet dinner by Bartolotta Catering and Events. Learn about our awardee's extraordinary life and career through a moderated conversation integrated with a special performance by Steven Curtis Chapman, followed by a coffee and dessert reception.

There is a maximum capacity for the event; please make your reservations as soon as possible. Individual tickets are available for $375 per person or tables of ten for $3,750. Care to take your evening to the next level of meeting Steven Curtis Chapman in-person with a photo-op? Try an upgraded VIP experience, which is available for guests who purchase a sponsorship. Your extra-special evening will include a VIP pre-event reception and personal photo opportunity with Chapman. This VIP experience will be a once-in-a-lifetime moment for you and your guests. Sponsorships range from $8,500 to $25,000; please inquire for additional information.

All proceeds from this fundraising event will directly impact the next generation of Christian servant leaders in the form of scholarships at Wisconsin Lutheran College.

ABOUT THE 2024 RECIPIENT

Steven Curtis Chapman

In a career that has spanned more than three decades, Steven Curtis Chapman is the most awarded artist in Christian music history. With 59 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards, five GRAMMY® Awards, an American Music Award, and a historic 50 No. 1 singles, he has sold more than 17 million albums with ten RIAA-Certified® Gold or Platinum albums to his credit.

In his career, he has collaborated with and had his songs recorded by other renowned artists in the Christian music world including Amy Grant, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, CeCe Winans, and others. His songs of hope have also crossed genres, seeing collaborations with Glenn Campbell, Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts, Ricky Skaggs, Brad Paisley, Lauren Alaina, Mitchell Tenpenny, and more. In 2017, Chapman also became a best-selling author with his memoir Between Heaven and the Real World: My Story.

His new album, Still, is filled with entirely fresh, life-giving songs for the masses, including his 50th #1 hit “Don’t Lose Heart.”

Chapman received the BMI Icon Award in June 2022. He is the first Christian music songwriter to receive the honor, joining an elite list that includes Dolly Parton, Sting, Paul Simon, Carole King, and Stevie Nicks.

Along with touring the world, Steven Curtis Chapman has appeared on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, CBS Sunday Morning and CBS This Morning, CNN, MSNBC, 60 Minutes, E! Entertainment, The Today Show, and Fox & Friends, among others, along with appearing in the pages of People Magazine, Billboard, Parents Magazine, and more. As a vocal supporter of adoption, Chapman along with his wife, Mary Beth, founded Show Hope in 2003, a nonprofit organization that helps restore the hope of a family to orphans.
