If you’re a teacher ready for the next phase of your career — outside of the classroom but still involved with students — earning a master's degree in School Leadership from WLC could be the stepping stone you need.
This program is designed especially for those seeking to become program directors, principals, deans of students, or lead trainers, and provides the opportunity to receive an administration license (Principal license #5051) through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
Candidates interested in receiving school administrator licensure from DPI must possess a master's degree, an active teaching license, have completed six semesters of classroom teaching, and fulfilled specific licensure stipulations.
Within this 30 credit graduate degree program, students will engage in a practitioner track which involves participation in practicum experiences, creation and presentation of a licensure portfolio, and successfully complete a competency exam at the conclusion of the program. Leadership opportunities are integrated throughout the program.
