Radiologic Technology - Allied Health Major

If you're passionate about health care and helping others, and you have an interest in X-rays, CT scans, MRIs or other forms of medical imaging, a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology may be a great fit for you!

Our radiologic technology major is a two plus two program. You'll take classes for two years at WLC, then complete your final two years of classroom and clinical experiences at an affiliate hospital.

We've partnered with four of the top medical centers in the Midwest

Our closest affiliate hospital is Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, located directly across the street from our campus. Froedtert is regularly recognized as one of the nation's highest quality academic medical centers. We also have affiliate agreements with Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology, a 24-month, full-time, hospital-based program; School of Radiologic Technology at Ascension - All Saints, a 24-month program in a clinical setting that performs over 90,000 general diagnostic X-ray procedures each year; and School of Radiologic Technology at Ascension - St. Joseph.

Healthcare professionals make a real and measurable difference in their communities, across the nation, and abroad. Studying the health sciences at WLC, you'll receive a strong science foundation that supports your growth and development, the personal care and attention of our faculty, and our small-campus charm in a big city with access to diverse healthcare facilities. You'll graduate confident, fully prepared to live your purpose.

You'll graduate prepared to make a meaningful difference

Many radiologic technologists were historically trained in two-year technical colleges; however, expectations and degree requirements have changed significantly in recent years. Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin’s School of Radiologic Technology now only accepts students in a bachelor’s degree granting program. Hospitals and clinics are now increasingly seeking radiologic technologists with a bachelor’s degree so that they are better prepared for the complexities of a rapidly changing health care system.

Our two plus two program provides the best of both worlds. You'll graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic technology, having received a well-rounded Christian education grounded in the liberal arts while at the same time having received intensive classroom and clinical training at respected affiliate hospitals leading to certification as a Registered Technologist - Radiographer RT(R).
