High Performance Instruction - M.A. Degree

Help prepare the next generation of educational leaders with a Master of Arts in High Performance Instruction. This degree will enable you to work at any level of education in a multitude of roles that help shape curricula and standards, learning outcomes, and much more.

As a student in the High Performance Instruction specialization at WLC, you’ll develop coaching and mentoring skills, explore assessment and evaluation techniques for academic success, grow professionally, and refine instructional methodologies for increased student achievement in your diverse classroom.

This specialization focuses on:
  • Increasing the academic achievement of diverse learners
  • Improving your teacher quality
  • Developing practical models
  • Fostering cognitive, analytical and reflective thinking skills

This 30-credit graduate degree program culminates with an action research project and creation of a portfolio. Leadership opportunities are integrated throughout the program and in a required practicum experience.

You’ll have the opportunity to receive an administration license (Director of Instruction license #5010) through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Please note that if you are seeking initial teacher certification you may need to complete additional coursework to meet state licensure requirements. 

You’ll graduate ready to make a real and lasting impact for students and education professionals at all grade levels.
