Sending Christian Leaders into the World

MILWAUKEE, WI - Wisconsin Lutheran College's winter 2020 and spring 2021 graduates will be recognized during a commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 22 at 1:00 p.m.

In order to follow group gathering restrictions and maximize the number of guests, commencement will be an offsite, ticketed event. It will be held at Franklin Field at The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, Wisconsin.

Steve Boettcher, a member of WLC's Board of Regents, will deliver the keynote address. He is the founder and president of Boettcher Media Group, a five-time Emmy Award-winning production company that has created quality media for more than two decades. Boettcher's work has appeared on several networks, including NBC, PBS, The Discovery Channel, CNN, and ESPN. He directed the documentary series “Pioneers of Television,” which aired on PBS.

Jason Van Acker '00, WLC's 2021 Alumni Service Award recipient, will welcome graduates to the ranks of WLC alumni during the ceremony. The student speaker for the Class of 2021 will be announced in May.

Graduates will be able to request tickets for up to eight family members or guests. Children 2 years of age and under will not need a ticket to enter the stadium, provided they will be seated on a parent or guardian's lap. Information about how to request tickets - along with additional details about commencement - will be shared via email with graduating students by March 19 and will be posted on our event page

Everyone must have an electronic ticket available for scanning upon entry to Franklin Field. No tickets will be available on the day of the event. The event will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend.

Wisconsin Lutheran College prepares its graduates to be Christian servant leaders in the workplace and in the community.
