Students enrolled in Wisconsin Lutheran College’s
pre-pharmacy program take classes for three years at WLC, and, having
satisfactorily met the requirements for admission to MCW Pharmacy School, will
take an additional three years of classes at MCW, graduating with both a
Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, or chemistry from WLC and
a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from the MCW Pharmacy School.
Early Assurance
Direct Admission to the MCW Pharmacy School
Getting into a good pharmacy school isn’t easy, but WLC’s
commitment to personal attention from highly-trained faculty, and our
partnership with the MCW Pharmacy School, provide unique opportunities for
students interested in a career in pharmacy.
An arrangement between Wisconsin Lutheran College and
the MCW Pharmacy School provides a direct route for WLC students to occupy up
to 10% of available MCW Pharmacy
School seats for full-time students, allowing WLC pre-pharmacy students who
successfully complete their pharmacy program prerequisites to gain direct
admission into the PharmD program at the MCW Pharmacy School.
WLC Students who express an interest in obtaining a PharmD
degree through the program will be partnered with a faculty mentor from MCW.
They will also have access to career discussions, shadowing opportunities with
the MCW Pharmacy School’s clinical partners, and will potentially have access to
undergraduate research opportunities at MCW.
