MEET ERIKA BAHR '91

Major: Business Administration

Current Role: Regional Controller with Delaware North

Why did you choose WLC?

My best friend chose Wisconsin Lutheran College, and I wasn't ready to go out into the big world and attend college all by myself. I wanted a college that was similar to my high school experience - a small student body, God's Word every day, and Christian leaders and faculty to guide my development.

Tell us about your favorite WLC experience.

I don't have one favorite experience at WLC. I am thankful that I could play sports at the college level. I didn't play volleyball my first semester, but found I needed something to keep me busy rather than just going to school. I played three sports (volleyball, basketball, and softball) every year after and loved it. I met great lifelong friends and will never forget those experiences.

Who is your favorite WLC professor or staff member?

I was a business administration major, and my favorite professor was Ken Cherney. He had real-life experiences he could bring to the classroom from the business world.

What have you accomplished on your bucket list since graduation and what's next?

I don't really have a bucket list. I have worked at my job for 31 years and I am ready for some time off … so maybe I should start a bucket list!

"I support WLC because I want future students to have the experience I did - God's Word every day, Christian leaders and faculty to follow, and the development of relationships with lifelong Christian friends."
