What's Your Leap of Faith?
Have you ever wondered how you arrived at a certain position in life? John Hoyer found himself asking that very question, from dreaming of becoming a full-time, professional fisherman as seen on TV to actually becoming one! In just eight years, John has become one of the most accomplished anglers and is coming off back-to-back National Walleye Tour wins and his first Angler of the Year title. How did he decide to leave a successful career in the trades and pursue his passion? Is his personal blueprint for success on the water and on the business side of fishing an actual thing? John will go over all the leaps of faith and tough decisions he had to make along the way and let you decide! Join us for an inspiring message and hear how divine intervention played a role in John’s journey at every twist and turn.
Keynote SPEAKER
John Hoyer
John Hoyer is the 44-year-old son of retired WELS Pastor Phil Hoyer. John grew up in Minnesota and Calgary, Alberta, where fishing rose to the top of his favorite things to do. His working career started with cutting the grass and shoveling snow at church. After an unsuccessful stint at North Dakota State University for civil engineering, he turned his summer job of carpentry into a full-time profession. Eighteen years later, he left that steady income and took a leap of faith to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time professional angler.
John is the only angler with three National Walleye Tour Championship first-place finishes and has multiple wins in national walleye and muskie events. He is an owner of Tour Level Gold, and his full list of sponsors makes John thankful for all the opportunities God has given him.
