Throughout the year, you'll participate in fully-produced “mainstage” shows, student-initiated performances, class and senior showcase performances, and video/film productions. In addition to classes and productions, there are educational opportunities sponsored by the department. These have included guest speakers and guest artists, professional theatre artists holding master classes, lectures and demonstrations, and alumni who are working professionally and return to share their experiences.

Hone your craft in intimate production venues

Our Center for Arts and Performance features the Raabe Theatre, which serves as the “mainstage” of our production programs and the Blackbox Studio Theatre, which is the principal location for performance classes, while also serving as an alternative production venue.

Support areas include our scene shop, costume shop, prop and costume storage, and furniture storage. The mezzanine level is home to the Raabe and Blackbox studio control booths, theatre design lab, faculty offices, and the theatre resource room, which contains our script and periodical library.

Schedule your personal visit experience and request a tour of the Raabe Theatre, or explore our Center for Arts and Performance via our panoramic 360° immersive virtual tour.
