MILWAUKEE – A staged reading of the new musical adaptation of the play Lady Windermere's Fan by Oscar Wilde will take place on Monday, April 27 at Wisconsin Lutheran College in the Raabe Theatre at 7 p.m.

Jan Nelson-Gompper, professor of theatre and director of theatre programming at WLC, received a mini grant from the Wisconsin Lutheran College Faculty Development Committee to adapt Lady Windermere's Fan into a musical. This joint project was done in collaboration with Dr. David Eggebrecht from Concordia University-Wisconsin (script) and Nelson-Gompper (music and lyrics). The adaptation has been musically arranged by Deb Tetzlaff. A group of Wisconsin Lutheran College theatre students are participating in the reading.

The Raabe Theatre is located in the Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 West Wisconsin Avenue. A talkback will follow the performance to elicit feedback. The staged reading is free and open to the public.

Wisconsin Lutheran College is a four-year, Christian liberal arts college located on the west side of Milwaukee.
