Date Posted: April 9, 2009

MILWAUKEE – American pianist Jeffrey Siegel concludes the Keyboard Conversations Series for the year on Wednesday, May 6 at Wisconsin Lutheran College. His "Musical Pictures" performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

Siegel’s enthusiasm is contagious, his credentials are world-class and his virtuosity is astounding. His performances begin with an insightful and entertaining prologue on the music and its composer, are followed by a full performance of the works and end with a lively question and answer session.

This performance highlights the sonic splendor of Rachmaninoff's Etudes Tableaux, the delicate tone painting of Debussy's Preludes and the astonishing gallery of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

Jeffrey Siegel is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board and Waterstone Bank. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $31 general, $28 seniors and $10 students. To purchase tickets, call the WLC box office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.
