Date Posted: August 27, 2008

MILWAUKEE – American pianist Jeffrey Siegel kicks off the Keyboard Conversation Series with Haydn and Mozart: Humor and Heartache, Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

Join Siegel as he shares Haydn's hilarious "C Major Fantasy," boisterous "Gypsy Dance" and dark, dramatic "C Minor Sonata." Then listen to Mozart’s charming "G Major Sonata" and melancholy "B Minor Adagio."

Siegel's enthusiasm is contagious, his credentials are world-class and his virtuosity is astounding. His performances begin with an insightful and entertaining prologue on the music and its composer, are followed by a full performance of the works and end with a lively question and answer session.

Jeffrey Siegel is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board and Waterstone Bank. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $31 general, $28 seniors and $10 students. To purchase tickets, call the WLC box office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.
