Wisconsin Lutheran College Presents World Festival of Harps

MILWAUKEE – The World Festival of Harps will take center stage at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.
The World Festival of Harps, which features four artists, brings diversity and cultural background of the harp from around the world. In one concert, the audience will experience music from medieval Europe, France, Italy, the British Isles, Asia and the U.S. as well as music styles from Renaissance and Classical, to Celtic, Latin, Asian, contemporary and jazz. Cheryl Ann Fulton begins on the Lever Harp, Medieval Harp and Neo-Celtic Lever Harp. Joy Yu Hoffman performs on the Classical Pedal Harp and Chinese Kong Hou Harp. Artistic director Diana Stork performs on the Medieval Harp and Neo-Celtic Lever Harp. Lori Andrews finishes up on the Jazz Pedal Harp.
The World Festival of Harps is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board and Wauwatosa Savings Bank. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W.
