’Twas the Night Before Christmas Comes to the Stage at Wisconsin Lutheran College
Date Posted: November 9, 2007
MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin Lutheran College welcomes Theatre IV as they perform ’Twas the Night Before Christmas on Sunday, December 9 at 3 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.
Theatre IV is a nonprofit, professional touring theatre group performing for young audiences. Since 1975 they have toured from Wisconsin to Florida and Texas to Maine while also presenting lavish productions in their home city of Richmond, Va.
While ’Twas the Night Before Christmas tells of sugar plum fairies and of old St. Nick, there’s another story behind this timeless classic. Theatre IV’s production takes you into the home of Clement Clark Moore and his family the day before Christmas. Moore is pressed for time and is stressed because his daughter is sick and he has not written the family’s annual Christmas poem. With the spirit of Christmas in the air, the story takes a magical turn for the best. ’Twas the Night Before Christmas is a beautiful expression of a father’s love and the mysteries of Christmas.
The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $10 general, $8 seniors and $6 students. To purchase tickets, call the WLC box office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.
Wisconsin Lutheran College is a Christian, liberal arts college located on the west side of Milwaukee.
