“America’s Hits on Parade”: Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra & The Pied Pipers to Perform at Wisconsin Lutheran College

MILWAUKEE – The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra & The Pied Pipers will perform “America’s Hits on Parade,” the first event in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Encore Series, on Friday and Saturday, October 26 & 27, 2007. The performances begin at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.
“America’s Hits on Parade” is a production featuring the songs that topped the Hit Parade during the World War II years. The performance features The Pied Pipers backed by one of the 20th Century's most popular big bands, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. The program is filled with recognizable classic songs to be enjoyed by all ages. Enjoy an evening of the hits that inspired many of the greatest recordings ever made.
“America’s Hits on Parade” with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra & The Pied Pipers is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board and Wauwatosa Savings Bank. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $41 general, $37 seniors and $10 students.
