New South Rampart Street Paraders add Dixieland music to Wisconsin Lutheran College's Summer Arts in the Park series

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee's own New South Rampart Street Paraders will perform their high energy, Dixieland music for the Summer Arts in the Park free concert series at Wisconsin Lutheran College Thursday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. The band's extensive repertoire ranges from familiar Dixieland rags, stomps and blues to popular Latin numbers, fox trots, waltzes and polkas.

The versatility of the New South Rampart Street Paraders make it one of the most appealing and crowd pleasing Dixieland groups in the Midwest. Most of them performing together for more than 27 years, the Paraders includes Jim Christiaansen - banjo, John Knurr - tuba, Joe Aaron - clarinet, Bruce Yeo - trombone, Bill Davison - trumpet and Vince Picciolo - drums.

Summer Arts in the Park takes place at 8800 West Bluemound Road on the campus courtyard located between Bluemound Road and Wisconsin Avenue at 89th Street. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.  Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket.  The concert will be held indoors if raining.
