Student Art Exhibition at Wisconsin Lutheran College Features a Variety of Media

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College art department features "Snapshots! Student Art at a Glance" December 2 through January 15 in the Schlueter Art Gallery and Raabe Theatre lobby. The exhibition features work from a variety of media - drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, watercolor and ceramics. The opening reception will be held December 2 from 6-8 p.m. in the Schlueter Art Gallery.

In conjunction with this exhibit, seniors Nicole Peters and Charlie Beck will present their senior theses. Beck works include mixed media collage dealing with advertising, and Nicole Peters presents large abstract oil paintings and ceramics.

The show was juried by Dorota Biczel Nelson, an adjunct faculty member at both the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Schlueter Art Gallery and Raabe Theatre lobby are located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
