Ninth-annual Gary's Gallop scheduled for April 14
5k run/2-mile walk supports Warriors Athletics

MILWAUKEE – The ninth-annual Gary's Gallop 5k run/2-mile walk, a tribute to the late Wisconsin Lutheran College president Dr. Gary Greenfield, will be held Saturday, April 14 at WLC's Krauss-Miller-Lutz Outdoor Athletic Complex.
The race, which begins at 9:30 a.m. and attracts more than 450 participants annually, has a scenic course through Underwood Parkway and the WLC Outdoor Athletic Complex.
A Kids' Corner, supervised by the WLC cheer squad and coaches, will be set up to entertain children during the adult race. Following the 5k race/2-mile walk, kids ages 12 and under can participate in a free Kids' Race, sponsored by the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Medicine Center, is free. No registration is necessary.
The race registration fee includes a long-sleeve T-shirt (for 5k and 2-mile participants only), light breakfast and lunch, awards to the top male and female runners in each age division and overall male and female winner, tours of the new Outdoor Athletic Center, and a tax-deductible gift to the college's athletics booster organization, the Warrior Club.
New this year is chip timing on a certified course.
Participants can register online or by mail at $10 for WLC students and $20 for all other participants. Mailed registrations will be accepted through Tuesday, April 10. Online registration will be available until Thursday, April 12. Walk-up registrations will be accepted from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on race day for $25.
