Nature by Three art exhibition

MILWAUKEE - A special exhibition celebrating nature as represented by three Milwaukee artists runs September 9 through October 18 in the Schlueter Art Gallery at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The exhibit features the art of Nora Boedeker, a painter of botanical forms; Jenie Gao, a printmaker combining the natural with the architectural; and Carol Schwartz, an illustrator bringing animals to life in children's picture books.

The public is invited to meet the artists during the exhibition's free opening reception on Friday, September 16, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Schlueter Art Gallery is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Avenue.

Gallery hours are Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-9 p.m. Admission is free.
