Wisconsin Lutheran choirs conclude season April 29

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir, Chamber Choir, and Chapel Choir will present their final concert of the 2010-2011 school year on Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

The Chapel Choir, a women's ensemble under the direction of Mrs. Carolyn Fons, will open the concert with such selections as Morning Prayer by Patti DeWitt, Tango to Evora by Loreena McKennitt, and The Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre.

Under the direction of Dr. James Nowack, the Chamber Choir will perform, in German, selections from Liebeslieder (Opus 52) by Johannes Brahms. 

The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir will perform five selections including What a Wonderful World by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele, You are the New Day by John David, and Stephen Paulus' The Road Home.

The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $7 general, $6 seniors, and $4 students. For more information, call the WLC box office at 414.443.8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.
