Wisconsin Lutheran Faculty and Friends Recital features Bartók's Sonata

MILWAUKEE - Wisconsin Lutheran College welcomes James Sewrey, a nationally-known percussion education specialist, as part of the Faculty and Friends Recital on Saturday, February 13, 2010. Sewrey will conduct the first movement of Béla Bartók's challenging and exciting "Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion" at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

Milwaukee pianist and composer Kevin Becker joins Wisconsin Lutheran faculty pianist Juanita Becker as well as WLC students Quinten Petersen and Chara Fedke in the performance.

The second half of this unique program includes a variety of works for percussion performed by Ben Hans, MATC’s percussion instructor, James Sewrey, Wisconsin Lutheran College's percussion instructor, and percussion students from MATC and Wisconsin Lutheran.
