

WLC Ranked as a Top College

MILWAUKEE - For 2023, U.S. News & World Report ranks Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC) at #16 among Regional Colleges in the Midwest. Schools in the Best Regional Colleges category focus almost entirely on the undergraduate experience and offer a broad range of programs in the liberal arts and in fields such as business, nursing, and education.
WLC is included in the U.S. News rankings for Best Value Schools, rated 14th among Regional Colleges in the Midwest.
The college is also included in the Top Performers on Social Mobility rankings at #25 among Regional Colleges in the Midwest. This category rates how well schools graduated students who received Pell Grants.
"Wisconsin Lutheran College's consistently high ranking by U.S. News reflects WLC's commitment to academic excellence delivered by a highly credentialed and experienced faculty," said WLC's Provost, Dr. John D. Kolander. "Our alumni use their education to lead productive and impactful lives as Christian servant leaders in their communities and throughout the world, reflecting the value of their WLC degree."
In other rankings that were released recently:
- According to Niche, for 2023 Wisconsin Lutheran College is rated in the top 75 best Christian colleges and top 75 best college campuses in the country, and WLC's residence halls are ranked 8th in the nation and 1st in the state.
- WLC is ranked 41st in the nation by Washington Monthly in its 2022 listing of Bachelor's Colleges. The publication also included WLC in its ranking of Best Bang for the Buck Colleges in the Midwest.
