Wisconsin Lutheran College is a miracle. In 1973 a handful of dedicated Christian leaders gathered to organize a new Christ-centered liberal arts college. Wisconsin Lutheran College began as a dream with no facilities and no full-time faculty. But what our founders did have was a strong faith in God and a determination to make it happen.
"It was just plain faith," that turned WLC from a dream to a reality. True. But it also took friends who were willing to commit significant financial resources in addition to their gifts of time, talents, and prayers. To commemorate and celebrate the treasures - past, present, and future - that God's people generously give to Wisconsin Lutheran College, we have created the 1973 Society.
Established in 2014, the 1973 Society exists to thank and celebrate the foundations, corporations, and individuals who have generously supported Wisconsin Lutheran College with lifetime gifts totaling $50,000 or more. Named to honor the unwavering faith of the college's founders, the society celebrates the historic and ongoing gifts of men and women who continue to believe so deeply in the mission of our young institution.
