Background

Gregg Pfarr is a respected banking, economics, and finance professional with many years of experience in banking. Prior to joining Wisconsin Lutheran College’s faculty, he was the Sr. Vice President of Southport Bank. He served as a head of retail banking, overseeing branch operations, retail personnel, consumer sales, service and consumer lending/mortgage operations. As a part of the senior management team, he was also engaged in asset/liability management, loss mitigation, compliance, and strategic planning for the organization.

When Professor Pfarr is busy supporting the students on campus, he spends his time being actively involved at his local church and high schools.

  • Lay Leader, Church Council Member, Congregational Chairman, Treasurer, and Congregational Elder in Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kenosha.
  • Served as a Board member for Shoreland Lutheran High School for 18 years.
  • Helped establish Shoreland Lutheran High School Foundation, Inc., an endowment fund established to support the Ministry of Shoreland Lutheran High School.
  • Serves on the Board of the Shoreland Lutheran High School Foundation since its inception.
  • Guest Speaker on the topics of banking, finance, and the economy at local high schools.
