Background

I started teaching at WLC in the fall of 2019 after completing my master’s degree and spending a year in Ada, Oklahoma, where my husband worked as Graduate Assistant. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and moved to Wisconsin when I started my undergraduate program at WLC and have lived here ever since (minus one year in Oklahoma). My husband, Matt, and I have been married since 2018 and we have a daughter.

I strongly believe in the importance of incorporating evidence-based practice into the field of exercise science. In a world where social media reigns supreme and young people are easily influenced, it is so important to educate current and emerging fitness professionals on what research has to say about fitness, nutrition, and health.
