Date Posted: December 17, 2008
MILWAUKEE – Families, friends, faculty and staff gathered in the chapel of the Gary J. Greenfield Administration Building to celebrate the class of 2009 in Christian joy on December 11. Nineteen Wisconsin Lutheran College graduates received diplomas at the second annual mid-year commencement ceremony.
Associate professor of biology Jarrod Erbe gave the commencement address. He encouraged all graduates to continue a life of learning by exploring the unlimited opportunities of new facts they will encounter throughout their life. Erbe also urged them to live in the present and take advantage of everyday blessings, both large and small, and most importantly to learn to trust God in all matters for "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Prov. 1:7)
