Warriors Head Into NAC Tournament This Week

Basketball Crowd imageMILWAUKEE – March Madness begins early as the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's and women's basketball team host first-round Northern Athletics Conference Tournament contest at the Recreation Center this week.

The men's squad (18-7, 12-6 NAC) secured the No. 3 seed in the NAC Tournament and will host the Lakeland College Muskies on Tuesday, February 26 at 7 p.m. During the regular season, WLC won, 103-94, as six Warriors scored in double figures, including Kyle Plath (Lake Geneva, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) who connected on six three-pointers and 21 points. On the women's side, the Warriors (15-10, 14-4 NAC) are the No. 2 seed in the NAC Tournament and will host the No. 7 seeded Aurora University Spartans on Wednesday, February 27 at 7 p.m. at the REX. Led by Emily Laete’s (Spokane, Wash./Evergreen Lutheran) 19 points, WLC defeated the Spartans, 79-67, in their only meeting of the seaosn on January 24 in Aurora, Ill.
