SAAC Has A Can-Do Attitude
This fall the Warriors are competing against the 11 other members of the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) for an important trophy. Only one school receives the award, but really, everyone wins during the NAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) canned food drive.
Each school’s SAAC is collecting cans and other non-perishable items at its campus to benefit a local organization from now until November 18. The goal for the entire conference is 10,000 cans. Last year, WLC collected 1,241 items, second-most in the league. The food collected was donated to the Second Harvest of Wisconsin.
“This is a great opportunity for our campus to come together as a community to help those in need,” says Lewis Jiles, Wisconsin Lutheran’s SAAC advisor. “I look forward to getting more people involved in this year’s campaign.”
Keep an eye out for the blue bins located around campus and watch for special events as the WLC SAAC attempts to take home the trophy this year.
