Solid first year finishes in the Northern Athletics Conference

Women's tennis places second

Women's tennis team was edged by Concordia University-Wisconsin to place second at the 2006 Northern Athletics Conference Tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, October 7-8.  The Warriors advanced seven flights to championship matches, more than any other team, but finished as runners-up in all seven events. Two all-conference players and a Rookie of the Year cap women's golf season

Abbie Lecy placed third overall and Rachel Schuman placed 10th overall to lead the Warrior women's golf team to a fourth place finish at the NAC Championship at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course October 6-7. The Warriors finished with a score of 999, three strokes behind third-place Lakeland College.

Lecy shot a two-round score of 197 for third while Schuman placed tenth with 296 to earn all-NAC honors. Lecy was also named Rookie of the Year with two runner-up finishes and one third place finish at NAC events. Learn more…
