Homecoming: Saturday, September 30, 2006

Fall is in the air, and that can only mean one thing - HOMECOMING!

Students - View schedule of activities for Homecoming Week.

WLC Football will take on Olivet College at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 at Raabe Stadium.

Pre-game festivities will begin as early as 9 a.m. with an alumni flag football game.

Former Green Bay Packers legend Paul Hornung will also be at Warrior Field from 11 a.m. until noon to promote and sign his new book, “Lombardi and Me.” Hornung, “The Golden Boy,” played for the Packers from 1957 to 1967. He played college football for the University of Notre Dame, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1956. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1986 and currently owns the NFL record for most points scored in a season.

Alumni

Kick off the day at 9 a.m. with the traditional alumni flag football game at Raabe Stadium. Participate yourself or come out and cheer on the alumni.

At 10:30 a.m. reunite with friends under the tent at the north end of the football stadium for a free tailgate lunch. Every guest at the tailgate will receive a special gift.

Then, cheer on Warrior Football as they take on the Comets of Olivet College at noon. Kids will be invited onto the field prior to kickoff to form a tunnel for the players to run through. They will also have the opportunity to watch the teams warm up from the sideline.

Plan to attend Homecoming 2006 – it’s a great way to stay connected to Wisconsin Lutheran! RSVP before September 22 to Lisa Leffel, director of alumni relations, at (414) 443-8796 or register online.
