Student Research to be featured at Undergraduate Research Symposium

MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin Lutheran College celebrates a decade of student research by hosting the tenth-annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on Saturday, May 1. The event is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Science Hall.
Undergraduate students will present papers, research projects, or artistic projects completed under the direction of a faculty member, professional researcher, or graduate student as an extension of their WLC academic experience. All presentation applications are reviewed by a faculty committee for content and quality.
The 2010 keynote speaker is Dr. David Schulz, associate professor of computer science. Following the student presentations he will discuss "Writing Arabic Names in English and English Names in Arabic: using linguistics and computer science to deal with an interesting, but difficult problem."
