Charity basketball game to feature former Harlem Globetrotters, NBA and WNBA players against Local Celebrities of Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE – Former Harlem Globetrotter Star Elbert "Tree" Gordon is hosting a charity basketball game between former Harlem Globetrotter, NBA and WNBA players against The Local Celebrities of Milwaukee at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Tip-off time is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Recreation Complex.

A portion of the funds raised from this event will benefit WLC Pathways to College program and the Global Legends Youth Foundation.

This event will be entertaining for all ages. Be prepared to be amazed by the former Harlem Globetrotters' ball handling, thrilled by the "magic circle," dazzled by superior slam dunks and by the professional playing of NBA and WNBA players.

Immediately after the conclusion of the show former Harlem Globetrotter, NBA and WNBA players will be available for a short time to sign autographs and have pictures taken with the fans.

The WLC Recreation Complex is located at 8725 West Wisconsin Avenue. Admission for the general public is $10, students ages 6-10 is $5, students ages 11 and up is $8. Wisconsin Lutheran College students must show valid Warrior OneCard to receive student discount rate.
