Wisconsin Lutheran College Hosts the Famous Legend in Black

The world's best Johnny Cash and June Carter-Cash tribute show comes to Milwaukee.

Date Posted: March 19, 2009

MILWAUKEE – The Legend in Black will perform at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Friday, April 17 at 8:00 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

Bill Cayley shares more than just a birthday with Johnny Cash – he also has the same look and stage presence as the music legend. Cayley and a June Carter-Cash character, as well as a three piece back-up band, realistically re-enact the moving country songs that Johnny and June played so many times. The Legend in Black truly replicates the sound and emotions that made the world fall in love with these legendary performers.

Legend in Black is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board and Waterstone Bank. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $31 general, $28 seniors and $10 students. To purchase tickets, call the WLC box office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.

Since 1996, the Wisconsin Lutheran College Center for Arts and Performance has been providing a comprehensive program of performing and visual arts and educational and community events for students and the people of southeastern Wisconsin.
