MILWAUKEE – La Musgaña will perform at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

Get ready to hear a music fusion of styles centuries old. The program starts with the traditional music of Spain including dance tunes, love songs, music for weddings and village celebrations, performed on traditional instruments – bagpipes, wooden flutes and zanfona. Then contemporary instruments are added in – accordion, guitar, fiddle and clarinet. The result is La Musgaña.

La Musgaña is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board and Waterstone Bank. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $20 general, $18 seniors and $10 students. To purchase tickets, call the WLC box office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.
