Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band to present Spring Concert

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band presents its Spring Concert Friday, May 2, at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.
Under the direction of Professor Terry Treuden, the band presents a varied program of traditional songs, marches and pops orchestra pieces. Some selections include American Hymn Song Suite by Dwayne S. Milburn which features four movements, the stirring march On Wisconsin by William T. Purdy and the Civil War piece Milwaukee Light Guard Quick Step. One of the best known composers of pops orchestra music is highlighted in A Leroy Anderson Portrait, which includes his compositions The Syncopated Clock and Bugler’s Holiday.
The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $5 general, $4 seniors and $2 students and may be purchased through the box office at (414) 443-8802 or online at wlc.edu/arts.
