Dr. Gaby Mazor to Present at Wisconsin Lutheran College

MILWAUKEE – Dr. Gaby Mazor, a distinguished member of the Israeli Department of Antiquities, will be at Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Schwan Concert Hall on Monday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. The night’s focus will be “Bet She’an/Scythopolis: Biblical City and Roman Metropolis.”

Dr. Mazor is a prolific excavator, scholar and lecturer. Since 1985 he been Director of Excavations for the Bet She’an Archaeological Project and has published many articles on the site. Mazor has also served as Chief Archaeologist to Israel’s northern region and supervised excavations on the Nabatean cities. He holds a Ph.D. in archaeology from Hebrew University.

The presentation is funded by the Milwaukee Area Biblical Archaeology Society, a non-profit and non-sectarian organization that promotes the study of the archaeology of Bible lands. This talk is free and open to the public. Please call (414) 443-8800 for more information.
