Date Posted: September 20, 2007
Milwaukee – The Wisconsin Lutheran College Theatre Department opens its season with a one weekend performance of Tennessee William’s A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, September 27 – 29. All performances take place at 8 p.m. in the Raabe Theatre of the Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 West Wisconsin Ave.
Known for his renowned dramas such as A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Williams displays his flair for comedic writing. Set in the 1930s, he weaves together the desires of four “marginally youthful” women. Williams explores the meaning of loneliness, the need for human connection and the inevitable compromises life often requires for the sake of survival.
This production will be performed again January 25-27, 2008. For more information or to order tickets, call the Box Office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.
