The Newtonburg Brass Band Will Recreate an Early 1900s Small-Town Band at Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Summer Arts in the Park Series

MILWAUKEE – The Newtonburg Brass Band will recreate an early 1900s small-town band for the Summer Arts in the Park FREE concert series at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Thursday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m.
Conducted by veteran band leader Robert Kuether, the Newtonburg Brass Band utilizes vintage instruments, period music and authentic attire to bring back the sights and sounds of an old-fashioned small-town band concert. Music will feature spirited marches, light concert pieces, toe-tapping polkas and waltzes. Listeners will also enjoy instrumental solos, early Dixieland, comic novelties and the ever popular sing alongs.
Summer Arts in the Park takes place at 8800 West Bluemound Road on the campus courtyard located between Bluemound Road and Wisconsin Avenue at 89th Street. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket. The concert will be held indoors if raining.
