Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band to present Spring Concert

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band presents its Spring Concert Friday, May 4, at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.

Under the direction of Professor Terry Treuden, the band’s program includes: “Huckleberry Finn Suite, Op. 33” by Franco Cesarini; “With Pleasure” by John Philip Sousa; “The Beltway Jam” by Jack Stamp; “The Wrong Note Rag” by Leonard Bernstein; and “A Tribute to Harry James” arranged by Sammy Nestico, with Dennis Najoom, the co-principal trumpet for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, as soloist.

The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave.  Tickets are $5 general, $4 seniors and $2 students and may be purchased through the box office at (414) 443-8802 or online at wlc.edu/arts.
