Lazer Vaudeville offers a family-friendly show at Wisconsin Lutheran College

April 4, 2007

MILWAUKEE –Lazer Vaudeville offers a show of family-friendly entertainment Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The cast, Carter Brown, Cindy Marvell and Nicholas Flair, combines the vaudeville arts of juggling, magic, acrobatics and slapstick comedy with the special effects of lasers, strobe lights and black lights.

The show includes an ensemble of fantastical characters who lead the audience on a journey through the imagination: a wizard creates magical illusions with laser beams; a neon cowboy kicks up a luminescent, rope-spinning display; and an audience member escapes form a straitjacket. The master of ceremonies is a seven-foot-tall, fluorescent, fire-breathing dragon named Alfonzo.

Lazer Vaudeville is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college’s Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tickets are $16 adults, $14 seniors and $6 students/children. To purchase tickets, call the WLC box office at (414) 443-8802 or visit wlc.edu/arts.

Since 1996, the Wisconsin Lutheran College Center for Arts and Performance has been providing a comprehensive program of performing and visual arts and educational and community events for students and the people of southeastern Wisconsin.
