Wisconsin Lutheran Choir Christmas concert broadcast on Milwaukee Public Television

The Wisconsin Lutheran College Choir and Chamber Choir will perform a selection of Christmas hymns and carols from a variety of traditions in a one-hour concert on Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV-10) Wednesday, December 20, at 8 p.m. The concert will be rebroadcast Sunday, December 24, at 3 p.m. on channel 36 and at 8 p.m. on channel 10.

The program will include a selection from the following: "Jesus, I Adore Thee," "Verbum caro factum est (Thus the Word was made flesh)," "Bogoróditse Dévo (Rejoice O virgin Theotokos)," "This Little Babe," "Ich Lasse Dich Nicht, Du Segnest Mich Denn (To thee will I cling, until I am blest)," " Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful," "Angels We Have Heard On High," "Hodie Christus Natus Est (Today Christ is born)," "A Spotless Rose," "Ríu, Ríu, Chíu," "Susanni," "E'en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come," "Before the Marvel of this Night," "Where Shepherds Lately Knelt," "African Noel," "Jesus Christ the Apple Tree," "Psalm 50," "Joy to the World," and "Stay with Us."  

"We feel blessed to have this opportunity to showcase our talented choir and, most importantly, to witness our faith in the community," says Edie Boatman, vice president of public affairs. "We hope that this will be a yearly event."

The concert was recorded Wednesday, December 6, 2006, and is a production of MPTV. The producer is Raúl Galván. 

This concert will also be available on Time Warner Cable Channel 1111 Wisconsin On Demand from December 25 through January 7. Select "holiday" then "concerts" to view the choir.
