Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band to present Winter Concert

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band will present the Winter Concert Friday, December 8 at 8 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall. The hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave.  Tickets are $5 general, $4 seniors and $2 students and may be purchased through the box office at (414) 443-8802 or online at wlc.edu/arts.

Under the direction of Professor Terry Treuden, the concert will feature "Allegro Barbaro" by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, "An American Elegy" composed by Frank Ticheli in memory of those who lost their lives at Columbine High School, "Suite On Celtic Folk Songs" by Tomohiro Tatebe, and "Suite on Greek Love Songs" by Henk Van Lijnschooten. "An American Elegy" will be directed by student conductor David Neubauer.

Wisconsin Lutheran College is a liberal arts college located on the west side of Milwaukee.
